Core Privacy Commitment

At Token-Calculator.net, we believe in privacy by design. Our tool is architected to ensure that your sensitive text data never leaves your device during the calculation process.

1. Browser Calculator Data Processing

All token calculations, word counts, and character counts are performed entirely client-side using JavaScript. When you paste text into our calculator:

• The data stays in your browser's memory.
• It is not sent to our servers.
• It is not sent to any third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.).
• It is discarded the moment you close the tab or refresh the page.

2. Token API Data Processing

API requests are different from the public browser calculator because your application sends text to Token-Calculator.net to receive a JSON response. We use the submitted text to calculate token, character, and word counts for that request. We do not store submitted API text. We may store usage metrics such as token count, character count, endpoint, API key identifier, and request time for account and subscription reporting.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., number of visitors, country of origin). This data is anonymized and does not contain any of the text content you analyze.

4. Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage solely to remember your UI preferences (like Dark/Light mode). No personal data is stored persistently.
